It's my belief that avoiding over-pressuring the water lines in your RV will avoid 99% of potential issues.

We were warned about that when we started out and have kept a water pressure regulator on the unit along with a water filter for ever. I'm no dummy and can happily learn from other people's warnings and disasters.
