Yup, if you use regular gas, you could have a buildup of water in the bottom of your tank. If that amount is high enough and you switch to E10, the ethanol will attempt to take the water into solution and problems can result. If you use E10 all the time, no water ever builds up in the bottom of the tank. I've got some old vehicles (1967 Vette and 1977 IH Scout that were run on "pure" gas for many years. When E10 came along, I did not run into problems with either.

Again to the OP, a 2007 engine will run fine on E10----------the only additive you may want to consider is something like Stabil when you store the MH.

I'm 9 years running gas with no problems so far. The only time I use an additive is when my RV is sitting for 7 months during the winter at Lake Havasu City, AZ. I then use one bottle of Stabil in the fuel tank.

Not only is RinconVTR not in the minority overall, he is correct. We also have had E10 in Minnesota since the 90's. There has been no great outcry against it nor many ACTUAL problems. Shade tree mechanics like to blame it for stuff, but anyone with a history with gas engines remembers lots of fuel problems with old gas even when there was no ethanol involved.

I've got probably a dozen engines that have had nothing but E10 in them for 12-15 years--------I'm still waiting for my first fuel problem.

As for my MH and 5500 genset, it gets the same fuel (E10) as my MH. I do put Stabil in the MH when it gets parked for the winter. That's it and 6 years without problems.

I would agree, until you ask for details. Generally, you'll find repair shops working on issues related to storage of E10. 3 months is about it for E10, unless you add a stabilizer. In, and of itself, E10 does no harm.

I use seafoam in all my vehicles and lawn equipment. I also use E10 gas in everything and have had no problems.

While i am in agreement that the ethanol has caused problems, i think it is also the gas being reformulated. I have fixed numerous motorcycles and atv's that were gummed up or rubber destroyed. I also believe the shelf life is considerably shorter than it used to be.

Live on the east coast of FL and have never had a problem in my outboards, lawn blower and edgers, chain saws or any other small engines using ethanol gas. Always try to keep my tanks full and run them on a regular basis. Have use PRI-D exclusively for the past 10 years in my trucks and motorhome and diesel generators. Use PRI-G in my outboard and small engines.
