does chasis battery charge while generator is on?

FloorGuy, my 2000 Allegro always drained the chassis battery to zero sitting in the drive between trips. I put a battery dis-connect on the negative battery terminal and when parked I just threw the dis-connect lever over. No more drained chassis battery. If the house batteries are charged up than your battery boost switch should give you more than enough juice to get your rig rolling. A 3 hour trip will be more that long enough drive to charge up the chassis batt from the alternator.
