Many MHs do not charge the engine batteries while on shore/gen power... only the engine alternator will. It concerns me that your interior lights are dim as they are on the house batteries which should have been charged overnight. By holding your boost switch down for five minutes while hooked to shore power you should be able to get enough charge into the engine battery to start. On most the alternator will charge both sets of batteries.
