- naturistNomadIt’s a nit, I suppose, but “either” is odorless. “Ether” however, has a sweet but pungent smell, but it does not smell anything like sulfuric acid or anything that ought to come from a lead acid battery. It should be noted that sulfuric acid can liberate ether smell from certain organic compounds under the wrong circumstances.
- wolfe10ExplorerSee my post on your other thread-- same topic.
- wa8yxmExplorer IIISulfur is rotting eggs. Either is not even close.
- Old-BiscuitExplorer IIISulfur smell......boiling batteries
Sulfur smell......water heater bacteria - Nv_GuyExplorer IIIBattery acid smells like rotten eggs- like sulfur.
- stickdogExplorerIt smells like the bubbling up of hell. You can always take off a battery cap and take a sniff.
Here's a thought do you have a Dometic fridge, if so has it been functioning as it should or are you having problems with it cooling? - grumpy3bExplorerit either smells like ether or no. it has a distinct odor but smells nothing like either. Hard to say what it smells like. both, obviously, have a "chemical" smell for what that's worth.
