does the furnace run on 12v?

Odd that my operations manual doesn't say anything about the AC or the furnace. I'm assuming it's propane furnace, just wondering does the fan usually run on 12v battery?

I bought this motorhome earlier this year haven't had it in the cold. Using it this weekend where it's going to be really cold, but don't have a place to plug in.

Wondering if I need to run the generator at night?

It's a winnebago vista 26he
  • yeah it would just be 2 nights. I can run the generator to charge up the battery or plug into my friends diesel generator.

I just didn't want to have to run the gen all night if it wasn't necessary.
  • My heater needs 12 volt power for the fan and the perhaps a control board. For me, 120 volt is not required other than to recharge the battery. Also for me, all heat is provided via propane.

  • Yes it runs 12v and you may need to keep batteries charged up if running extended periods of time. Also make sure you have lots of propane....it will eat thru that!
  • Yes it works on 12V. It can draw a lot of power as well, depending on how cold it is and how much it runs.
