DOG HOUSE TV CONVERSION

I have the old type TV big heavy and not good picture quality. I would like to put a HD in place of the old TV.

Anybody did this? The TV is in the Dog House and lifts to a higher position to be viewed, not a great deal higher but some. I must keep the dog house as it is engine access and insulated to reduce some noise. If it weren't insulated the noise would be unbearable, it is loud as it is.

I am not opposed to placing the TV in the living area but have no idea where? I also have no idea how to run the wiring.

Thanks in advance.

  • @ bobphoenix - turning that space into a wine cabinet will be very convenient while you are driving down the road. :B

  • I have the overhead compartment for my old TV and I replaced it with a 32" LED in the dining area...

So far, I have only covered the opening with a mirrored door but I'm working on plans to turn the space into a wine cabinet. I'll be converting a 12V powered cooler for the cooling part and I'll double insulate the box and add wire racks to hold the bottles...

Re-wiring for your new location is not too tough if you can get plent of wire-mold or if you stay close to your cabinets (you can use the inside back of the cabunet space to run wires too.)
  • What make and model of motor home do you have? Do you have a picture of the current TV setup?
