Have an American Car Dolly, and have only used it 2 times for short trips. There seems to be plenty of room between the fenders for my car, but I am a little concerned about turning really sharp corn...

It depends on the width of the car. We tow a Town and Country van that total width is 78in. that leaves little room left side to side. When we turn sharp corners the fenders of the dolly and the vans door meet. In fact we have matching dents to prove it. It does not take much of a corner to bring the two together.
