We had it filled about 2 weeks ago. It's been running fine while we dry camp, first 2 days and then as we travel every couple days 4-6 hrs at a time. We never really have had anything turned off even during filling of the tank.
So, you don't turn the Dometic off when you are filling the fuel or propane tank.
Maybe the almighty has caused it to fail in order to save the lives of others.
