The fridge seems to work correctly on both gas or electric. Here's my question, the temp on the eyebrow says the fridge is at 33 deg. but the thermometers in the fridge read 40 and freezer reads 3 deg...

Nothing is the problem other than possibly how you are measuring the food section compartment temp.
Thermometer in glass of water on shelf
OR
Thermometer hanging from a clip on the shelf
Measuring water temp is much more accurate method
