Well, thanks! Now I am really confused. I do know that if at all possible, stay out of the state of Califonia! Why are the right and left coasts so difficult on RVers?
We have a pretty substantial RV tourist season and I would bet 9 out of 10 CO State troopers wouldn't look twice at most RVs unless something really stood out as unsafe. I certainly have never seen one measured!
As far as double towing with a motorhome; every state in the union SHOULD allow it, if your length is under 70 ft. This is so ridiculous. The motorhome can tow and is made for it. Your toad can tow and is made for it. The only difference is the motorhome is doing all the pulling. The two "toads" are helping with braking, and my motorhome could stop them both anyway. A fifth wheel or TT is most certainly not built for towing, in any way, shape or form. Yet I have seen a Wrangler behind a fifth wheel. TX plates! And it seemed to work ok to me!
