Driver & Passenger Side Window White Haze

my 2001 Winnebago Adventurer both Driver & Passenger Side window are turnin to this white haze to the point i cant see out the mirrors, they both have like double glass and its inside the glass, what can i do to fix this or is it fixable ?
  • We had all the windows re-done by Suncoast Designers on our 2005 Revolution LE. They did an excellent job. The one thing I like about Suncoast is that they do not create a vacuum between the two panes of glass. This is the source of most if not all of the fogging problems. Suncoast instead injects an inert gas between the two panes so that the gaskets aren't fighting the pressure difference that can cause the leaks.

  • RV FOG Dr. in Searcy, Arkansas does good work at a price similar to Suncoast. I had four windows done in late April. They have good 50 amp parking and did an outstanding job of all of the windows. They also offer other body and window services.

Suncoast does a good job. But average price is now around $300 a window fixed. Had one done there last in May 2013.
Suncoast does a great job! Their price is 275 for first and 250 for each additional window. Parts that have to be replaced are reasonably extra. "Window" means the entire opening on the driver or passenger side. Mine were stained to the point of being dangerous to try to see through so I made an appointment and stayed 2 nights in their lot(50a elec., water and free wifi). It's well worth the price.

  • You can try it. I have heard of some that were able to polish the glass using 4-0 steel wool.

we had the same issue with some of or double-pane windows on our 2000 Itasca suncruiser. I tried, without success, to have repairs done by auto and home glass companies and our RV dealer suggested replacing the windows (at a cost of $3000!). we lived with the problem for a year or so and then I learned about Suncoast Designers in Hudson, FL. we made an appt. and had all of our fogged windows removed, cleaned, re-sealed and then re-installed. total cost was about $700 and they have several 50-amp RV spaces for overnite use by their customers.

there are at least two other outfits doing the same thing...

    - Dave Root RV Glass Repair in Bend, Oregon

    - RV Fog Doctor in Searcy, Arkansas

there may be others. I can't vouch for Dave Root or the RV Fog Doctor but I can enthusiastically endorse Suncoast Designers in Florida.
  • What you are seeing is the etching of the glass caused by water intrusion. In most cases the glass will have to be replaced along with replacing the seals.
