As fcoopers says, it's something you can do. I found a shortcut..instead of completely separating the two panes, I use a razor knife to cut out the top and bottom sealer/spacer, dragged a rag dampened with cleaner between the two to clean them, then resealed the top and bottom. Some people have said their glass gets almost etched and is very hard to clean, I guess I caught mine early as the foggyness wiped away very easily. The shortcut eliminates waiting 24 hours to put the window back together. Once the sealer skins over, you're good to assemble and reinstall. Mine used a 3/16" spacer, some others use 1/4". You can get the spacer and sealer on Amazon or eBay.
