Driving 93 south from Lake Meade

Anybody been down 93 south from Lake Meade / Boulder City, NV area. We are planning to see Hoover Dam, stay in Boulder City then head south to I40 in Kingman, AZ. Read some news about washouts and detours not too great for motorhomes with toads. 40'DP with Honda CRV toad. Thanks
  • 93 south from Boulder City to Kingman is all 4 lane now, and no problems any where! 95 south out of Vegas to Needles Ca. is two lane from the AZ/Ca. line and is subject to washouts! just check before you leave if it has been raining! 95 on south from needles is good road as long as there have not been any rains, as it does wash at times! it is two lane, and a lot of trucks run it! Passing is limited! You can run it all the way to Blyth Ca. and pick up I-10.

93 south from Hoover Dam to kingman is a 2 lane hwy with speed limit of 65, boring drive but easy for your rig. we travel it pulling our tt with no problems whatsoever. The washouts you have read about are the roads off 93 to Dolan Springs and Meadview but it is old news, I believe it was 2 or 3 weeks ago when the washouts occurred.
X-2, I have a good friend that lives in Meadview!
  • we travel 93 from az to mt no problems at all.the elks have a park in boulder city if you are a member ken
  • 95 south on Nevada side is 4 lane divided highway to border. 18 miles on 163 over to Laughlin is 2 lane. Haven't been on 95 south through Ca to I-40.
