Just a hint for after it is repaired, to prevent a recurrence:
I keep a small brightly colored empty plastic container inside the place where the electric cord lives. Any medium-sized bright object would do. When I unlock that door to plug in to hookups, I place that container on the driver's seat. It reminds me to unplug before I drive.
