Dually valve extenders

Will be buying new tire for the coach shortly to be ready for the up coming season. Currently, the inner rear dually has a braided extension. I've never had good luck with these and plan to replace them with solid ones when I get new tires. My tire shop is proposing solid extenders that replace the existing valve stem for $160. I see that you can also buy ones that screw on to the existing valve for a lot less money. Is one better than the other? It would seem that the expesive ones eliminate a schrader valve and a point of potential failure.

Original valve stems. PAIN to check/add air pressure

    Braided extenstions.. Well one worked.

Dually Valves.. Put 'em in when I got new tires LOVELY. Love them. Best thing I ever did tire wise.
  • Most reliable and robust way to go is with SOLID valve stems....no extenders. Get the stems that work with your duallies. We purchased Borg solid valve stems.....a solid and reliable product.
