Dump Tanks monitor

I believe everyone is going to agree on this one. None of these monitors give correct readings they are just there to confuse everyone.

I think you'll find that most of the tank gauges function just fine, although in the case of Winnebago, having only 3 sensors across a 95g water tank leaves HUGE guess margins and you really need to get used to what you have.. I replaced mine a week ago with one WAY more accurate

I am sorry but I can't stop laughing. I went in another direction when reading that the tank was full after your first dump..... Someone had to say it, I'll bet others were chuckling too.

Black tank sensors are a common problem with RV's. My RV has external sensors that cannot get TP on the them to give false up readings. But the walls of tanks can get a buildup giving bad readings. I have a tank flush system that clean this buildup off. If your MH does not have a tank flush system. Consider installing one ore us a wand down the toilet.

Yep, I was thinking, 'WOW, I bet he feels a lot better'. :)

I don't depend on my tank monitors much... but do use them to get an idea of how full they might be.

I have found that the black tank monitor will read "full" immediately after flushing the toilet, even if I just emptied the tank. A few minutes later when "stuff" settles (I guess) the monitor will read less.

If your toilet empties directly into the black tank (no bends in piping), the best way to know for sure how much is in the tank is to look down the toilet using a flashlight. Also remember that the tanks are very shallow but wide, not deep, so it may look like it is filling up but you probably still have plenty of room.

Have fun! and best not to tell non-camper friend what you are doing, unless you want to get the funny looks from them!

your Ht. 1 must be your black tank sensor (Holding Tank 1). Your Black Tank Sensor will probably always be wrong except when you do a thorough flush cleaning of the inside of the black tank after dumping.

that's just the way it is. Don't worry too much, the Black Tank takes much longer to fill up than the grey tank.

After 5 years I finally stopped worrying about it. But once in a while I do a thorough flush with an internal sprayer - and then proudly show DW the tank is showing empty.

I have never had the sensors work but one time rite.before the tanks had anything in them. the tech has not cought up yet. I guess. I watch the excat ampunt that goes in, works for me, now its all haqppy campng

I have fixed my tank monitors. Might not work for everyone. Squeamish might want to stop reading here ;-)

Purchased used motorhome and monitors were unreliable. Tried all the normal things...still not reliable.

Then started driving home after camping trips with full tank and emptying when we got home. No more problems with false readings. We never empty at the campground always drive to the next campground or home before emptying.

All the sloshing around gets everything all blended....sort of looks like a brown smoothy when it comes out. Don't even have to use a tank sprayer to clean the tank unless we are going to let it set for a number of months.

So if things come out chunky that is the problem.....need to make a smoothy.

If you are parked in one spot for the season this solution will not work for you.
