duncan RV replacement windshields opinions??

I passed a cattle pot a couple of weeks ago and somehow it threw several rocks. Two of which hit my windshields--one rock each window. what are the odds of that?? Over the years I have had a couple of mh windshields replaced. always with original Winnebago glass. this time I am told the glass will come from Duncan systems which I think is a division of Lippertt (makes axles for 5th wheels) Before I get grumpy with my agent--do any of you have an opinion or experience with these after market windshields from Duncan?? thanks in advance. tom
  • I wouldn't worry about it. They are only a distributor not a manufacturer. Where they get the glass, who knows? Excess inventory, left over after production ends, secondary manufacture, salvage,,,. As long as the glass is distortion and defect free which I would suspect it will be.
  • I also was sent to Duncan Systems for glass replacement on my Rexhall. The glass arrived at the glass installation company rather quickly. The problem arose when the glass installers cracked the new windshield severely trying to install it. I'm taking it back this week to have them try and get another new one in correctly without damage. Not sure yet who the new one is coming from though. Duncan systems was very pleasant to talk with and kept me informed on the progress of my glass. JMO
  • Just had a drivers side windshield on my 2000 Suncruiser replaced due to a crack. Called my insurance ( Progressive ) who immediately sent me to Duncan who does all Progressive glass work. I picked a local installer who worked with them Had it done in 2 days with no problems.
  • I'm not familiar with Duncan and, I did not know Winnebago manufactured their own glass.

Maybe Duncan is all that is available?
