Windshield replacement...
Went to the RV the other day to check on a few tnhings and found a huge crack in my windshield. Closer inspection revealed a chip where a rock obviously had caught the lower right hand corner. After a couple of cold nights followed by warm days{32/90} the crack appeared.
I called Geico and they informed me there was a $500 deductible which is NOT what I signed up for... glass coverage here in Arizona is must have coverage and I have always had 100 per cent replacement. My bad I guess for not catching them playing bait and switch but if you have Geico check you policy carefully {like I didn't}.
The Good news is they referred me to Safe Lite and they were awesome! Had my windshield replaced the next day in 45 minutes, beautiful work and it only cost $223. More good news, after being caught in a wicked sandstrom {not duststorm} last October going into Borrego Springs I realized the windshield had been very effictively sand blasted to a mild degree. You could only see the pitting when driving directly into the sun or anytime oncoming headlights hit it but visibility was impaired.
It was annoying but not to the point that it needed immediate attention as I almost never drive at night and the cabover eliminates a lot of incoming glare of a low sun. For $223 I am a happy camper with a goregous new windshield.
