The engineers at Ford have been designing air intakes for about 70 years when your vehicle was built. I've got to believe that they have tried just about everything possible. If they had a CAI that was better than what came with your vehicle, chances are it would already be on there.
Prediction: Whatever modifications you make to the intake system will have no measurable benefit or make it worse in some way. But, it is your vehicle, . . . . have at it. Maybe you'll teach the engineers a thing or two about CAI's on the mighty 460!
Remember, Ford has spent hundreds of millions of $$$$ on their test facilities. How about you?
