This is off-topic, but regarding cab heat that may be coming mostly from the floor in your E450, you might want to crawl underneath sometime and take a look to see if it has heat shields installed between the engine exhaust pipes and the cab floor. Here's some photos of the heat shields that came on my E450 Class C - I don't know if Ford or Winnebago installed these:
Again off topic, but regarding heat in the cockpit, has anyone lined the exterior of the doghous with that Dinamat insulation material?? I've heard it really works.
