E450 Wiper Blades
What are you guys using? We are going on a trip in a couple of weeks and want to get some new blades. There are so many brands and types out there, it's overwhelming. Thanks for any suggestions.

- Put something under them to keep them off the windshield so they don't take a set when parked for extended times.
- Whatever 22" blades you can find. Change them often.

I prefer the Rain X blades too. I also use Rain X Wiper fluid. With this combo, I often don't need to use the wiper blades in the rain unless its a frog strangler.
-Michael- If you can do it, drive the rig to an auto parts store and they will not only sell them to you, they will install them free. This makes sure that you get the ones that fit. If they work well for you, get the same kind next time. If not, get some other brand.

Yep. And Rain-X. I've had all of these on the large windshield of my mini-van, and they do a good job.

And you got back at least 4 positive suggestions and no "avoid at all costs" replys so I repeat my suggestion, revised a bit:
Go to the autoparts store and look over the choices.
Pick one that seems to fit your budget and try it.
If it ends up being not to your liking, you have lost only about $8.
And the odds of a defective new wiper blade causing a crash that kills the occupants are infinitely small.- Bosch on all my vehicles.
They seem to last the longest. - Rain-X are the best that we've found.

- I switched to the all season Rain X Latitude because I live in the mid Atlantic and travel to Fl and back year around. I like the new design of the frameless blades and will switch all the cars over with time.
I switch out the blades before they are trashed by sun and weather, storing them old blades for an emergency. I have saved a windshield from bad scratching twice when wind blown stuff or age destroyed a wiper blade. (Yes I am an old fart and the two instances were years apart).
