Depending on how it's built, you might be able to "pull a pin" in the mechanism and disconnect the seat from the motor.
Of course, that would let it slide forward and back freely until you reconnect the mechanism again. - There is NO WAY without engaging the 12 volt actuator motor, Doug
- Bruce_BrownModeratorNot easily. Normally it's a screw jack type movement, if the screw doesn't turn it's not moving.
You can disconnect the screw or nut temporarily if you need to move it, but the easiest way to do that is to remove the seat.
The power seat on my parents Tiffin malfunctioned and I needed to remove the seat to fix it, using the above method.
So after that long winded response, the short answer is no, it can't be done. :B - Tom_BarbExplorerExtension chord, and a adaptor to the seat.
The motor must run. - DrewEExplorer III don't think it's possible in most cases. You'd need to apply electric power to the motor in the seat actuator thingy in the seat base.
