- fprestoExplorerWho is saying it is a non covered issue? Tiffin? The awning manufacture? Insurance?
- lj2654ExplorerI haven't had that happen to me but have heard of it. The gears on most are plastic and strip out causing the awning to fall out. Are you talking about the extended warranty not covering it?

- Bus, usually has the Large Carefree 120 operated awning Top BOX awning. IF that is true, it will only deploy if the genset is on or the Inverter is ON. NEVER heard of this happening on a Tiffin(I work for a Tiffin dealer). Even if you have the 12 volt awning by Carefree, it takes the switch being pushed to activate. BUT, what I would have your service center test is IF the 12 volt Ignition kill is functioning. Once the KEY is ON, it kills power to the awning(120 or 12 volt). IF the 12 volt kill is functioning, then the awning cannot deploy in transit. IF the Kill is NOT functioning, then it is possible(VERY RARE) to deploy in transit. An awning can deploy IF the main awning control box is defective. Which is NOT a Tiffin responsibility. IF the kill switch is NOT functioning(fuse blown) that would not be a Tiffin concern, unless, it was never connected. That is why that kill system needs checked. Doug
- midnightsadieExplorer III just put one on my kids box trailer. adjusting things,, the awning start out all by itself. we now kill the power before it leaves the driveway.
