electric choke on Holley Carb

Am I right or wrong?? The positive post on a electric choke on a carburetor should have 12 volts when ignition is on and zero volts when ignition is off. Where do most of you hook up your positive to besides the back of alternator??
  • look on fuse panel for terminal marked ignition that is unused.only problem with this is if key is on without motor running choke will come off and be hard to start.
thats why it usually hooks to altenator statop terminal.

That's right. If you can't figure out what Ford did OEM, you can get a "Bosch" relay from Radio Shack and use it to power the choke heater when the ignition key is in Run.
