haha that was my biggest fear, leaving the switch on to force the steps out and start the RV up, stop for fuel and then get back in and take off with the stairs still extended, only to rip them off.
I'm pretty sure mine go in and out while the ignition is on, instead of only just working once (when the door is open and closed more than once) - which the dealer had to me the same thing, the stairs would only retract once if I left that switch on. I'll test that again tonight but I'm pretty sure they go in and out over and over as many times as I open the door with the RV ignition on.
