Electric steps won't shut off with switch when retracted!

After some significant troubleshooting today I have decided to change the magnetic switch itself. The magnet is just fine. With my setup, if you wave a magnet across the switch a couple of times quickly the steps will retract. If the door switch becomes an issue it could.
