Electrical-sat controller and bed inflate-no power

Goldencrazy, did you ever solve the no power to sat?

Does the Satellite control box light up when you push the on button? If not that would indicate it does not have power going to it which may indicate no power to the outlet(as mentioned with the inverter), a loose primary plug in to the 120 volt outlet, a loose plug in to the back of the black 120 volt to 12 volt power supply, or a loose plug from the power supply box in to the back of the control box.

Do you have an inverter? True story
Camper across the drive had problems much like yours, Including no power to TV and Sat receivers.. I ask if he had an inverter,, Believe it or not he did not know.. Well we found the inverter and the breakers

One toward the left, One toward the right (OFF)

Turned the 2nd one one and he went inside, His wife ask if I thought I could help.. His reply was priceless "Help... He's already fixed it" and so I had.

For the record.. I never expected those breakers to be front and visible, It's never that easy,< They are supposed to be on the rear where you need a flashilght and a mirror to see them Somebody goofed on that install :) .

I haven't removed the cosmetic panels to see behind. I have the controller that I push the power on button and that is obviously visible. It has the power cord and the hard wired to the dish wires. I have checked all the plug in to outlets and none are dedicated to the controller. It is all warranty so back it goes tomorrow. Unfortunately it is Camping World that has one good tech and he is getting worn out. If I get the time I will remove a panel and check behind. Now I know what to look for. Thanks.

ON my satellite system there is a power supply that plugs in to the 120 volt outlet. Then that power cord plugs in to the black power supply box that then plugs in to the control box. From the control box, there is a cable that goes up to the antenna where it is hard wired in to the dish. Have you checked ALL of the cords that plug in to the various places for a loose connection?

Update: Well it seemed strange to have the bed compressor and the satellite controller on the same circuit and indeed that was correct and they are not. I have the bed working. The plug was loose and one of the controllers was also disconnected from the compressor. When we tightened the plug we had power and when we plugged in the other controller it also worked. So too separate issues and one resolved.

Now the satellite controller. Nothing has worked. I have plugs for everything but the controller and all outlets work. The controller is direct wired into a power supply which was replaced two weeks ago. It all worked for the day I used it to test. I then drove two hours and not working. I am guessing a connection has come loose to the power supply. I don't understand why this has a separate box known as a power supply but is suspect it has something to do with the power in and power out to raise the satellite.

I have reset all breakers. Studied my inverter and learned more about my power control center. It is a 2000 Magnum by the way. Forgot to mention that. Cannot find any breakers on it or outside gfi but outside outlets are hot and it appears everything in the coach works but the satellite for tv. So will have to endure listening to British Open on satellite radio. Roughing it.

I fired up the generator and no luck.

if your site is close enough to the next site, the easiest thing to check is to plug into another pedestal and see if the problems go away. Could just be a power problem at the campground pedestal.

Could also be the pop out breakers on the inverter. They look like little fuses that will pop out and then need to be pushed back in to reset them.

What type of inverter do you have?

Another thing you could try is to fire up the generator and see if everything works that way.

Both of those circuits are 120 volt circuits so you need to make sure that BOTH legs of the shore pedestal are hot and check to see if you have another GFI in a basement compartment. It is always a good idea to reset all circuit breakers rather then to rely on a visual inspection looking for one that has tripped.
On some inverters there are three circuit breakers. One for each leg and one for the charger portion. These are usually on the inverter itself.

The two inside gfi's are green and fully functioning. Do you know where I might find the circuit breakers on my inverter. I have turned it on and it doesn't seem to be a problem. It seems to me these are 120 and need to be converted to 12v. Very confusing two things at both ends of the coach.
