Emergancy Brake cable frozen

Question

I have a 1985 Fleetwood Southwind with a transbrake on the back of the transmission near the driveshaft . In Missouri she wont pass inspection with out a working E-Brake cant figure out why since when you put it in Park the Brake automatically locks until you put in drive or reverse anyway,  but since the handle is there it has to be in working order. I need help in finding one been all over the internet and nothing ,call wrecking yards and they tell me its way to old to hold parts for if they get on in that old it goes by-by. Thanks for any help you can give me

get on google find a place that makes cables and change it out, the cable is most likely frozen in the housing. take it off and soak in kerosene for a few days then try and free it up.

If you don't find go to your boat store.  They can make it also. Take along the old one with the fitting that attach it to the vehicle.

Sounds like you have a GM auto-park system. Are you sure it is a 1985?That would mean it would be like this. Parking brake cableI don't remember 85s having that kind of system.
