Going down a mountain with hot brakes is not a good idea...IMHO....are you using your exhaust brake or your service brakes? Your brakes should not overheat if you're driving properly. Use the exhaust brake for most of your braking power and use your service brakes periodically to slow you further. Use a stabbing effect with the service brakes to maintain your speed but the exhaust brake should be you primary holding power. Are you sure the light didn't say "Engine Hot"??...Dennis
