EPDM Roof Bubbles

I have an EPDM roof with some rather large bubbles. How do I seal the roof down again and what product do I use to seal it down before I overcoat the entire roof? What product have you found best to recoat the roof? There are several on the market and from the videos I have seen, some processes seem easier than others. Some have put the solution on with a roller and some with a squeegee.

Okay, I am in east texas and is there a company near that can do the job or have you done it yourself and can you give me some helpful hints? Thanks Arnold
  • Check YouTube for videos on repairing the bubbles. You should probably use the same type glue used for installing the roof.

Last summer I restored the roof on our 96 Southwind. I did not have any bubbles. All seams were covered with Eternabond.

I used Heng's Rubber Roof Coating. It goes on easily, does a nice job and looks good.

Heng's requires no primer. I used a 4" roller to apply the coating. I chose the 4" because I was not in a hurry and had better control.
A brush was used for trimming.

So far it's held up to sun, snow, ice, rain and Pennsylvania's freeze/thaw cycles. No peeling or leaking.
