Yes I have only while not at fault, I hit a bob tail in the #4 lane as I passed in the #3 lane. Even my wife said he pulled to the left just before I hit him. My mirror was laid against my passenger side window unbroken but it took me awhile to make sure there wasn't anyone to the right so I could pull over. We called the CHP and when the Chippy finally found us, he talked the truck operator out of filing a accident report.
I was totally lost and if it were to happen again and the mirror was broken I would either get it towed or get an escort to the closest truck or RV dealer.
