Ever had your mirrors hit by a pasing truck?

Well, if we want to go into general side-swipe accidents, I was traveling from Elkhart, IN to Berrien Springs, IN. As we traveled along the Interstate construction cut the lanes down to the right lane only. Plenty of warning, Janet following behind in the "new" toad while towing the old one. An 18 wheeler decided he would take me from the ending lane....which he could not. I tried to pull as far to the right as possible to avoid the obvious crash but could not go any farther than the guard rail. I tried to stop the driver and he would not look over. I pull in front and slowed down. He kept trying to go around. NOT HAPPENING. Called 911 and told them what was going on. They said they were sending Troopers. Miles went by and while he was still stuck behind me there were no police. I was on the phone the entire time with 911. Ahead there was another construction site and another 1 lane work site. I told the 911 operator that I was simply going to come to a stop in the construction zone to ensure this driver did not get away with running me off the road. The operator pleaded with me NOT to do that assuring me that a Trooper was coming lights and siren and would be there in minutes. I slowed but continued on. Sure enough, minutes later I could see the Trooper coming, waved to him that the truck behind me was the issue and we were both stopped on the side of the road. The big problem was that Janet wanted to get out and punch this idiot in the face since he has really messed up "her house". The trucker first said "what?" "where?" Then it was something like "I remember a construction zone" and then after a bit of conversation he finally said he really should never have been in that lane. Repairs cost $17,000 of which I had to pay $1000 for the deductible. About a year later I got a check for the $1000 after the drivers insurance paid the bill in full.
To this day Janet has no real love for any trucker.
