I believe that the out let you are looking at is the outlet from the generator. to use it you plug your 30 amp shore power cord into that outlet and start the generator. You do have a 30 amp shore power cord with a 30 amp male plug on the end don't you??
You will not or should not ever use a cord with two male plugs, one on each end, they call that a sucide cord. So let us know what you have for a shore power cord. And yes the camp ground pedestal will have a 30 amp female receptical so your 30 amp shore power cord will plug right in to it.
