F-550 chassis

I saw the Thor units. Are there any other manufacturers building on the F-550 chassis? (I did see Bornfree and Host but the floor plans don't work for us.

Yes Dynamax the builders of the $164k C-class built on a E-450. What a Waste of money.
  • I've seen the units you refer to-I'm not in the market but think the idea of a crew cab with 4 captains chairs in a 4x4 F550 would be awesome comfort and safety wise with a big C built behind it. Even if you don't need the crew I highly recommend it.

There's nothing wrong with the E450 being the starting point chassis for Dynamax's compact, slide-less, great looking, almost superbly outfitted Class C.

What you're most likely paying primarily for is Dynamax's extensive use of molded fiberglass for the roof and walls, plus a fairly good appliance and equipment list - including DynaRide air suspension in the rear to defang the E450's rear ride beast.

What I would not pay that kind of Class C money for is it's small capacity liquid tanks.

If it wasn't for those small tanks, I'd love to have one of those ISATA E-Series IE235 Class Cs with larger diameter tires and upfitted to 4X4 drive. :C
