F53 air filter change frequency

Just changed out the air filter on my F 53 after 25 m miles and found it to be much dirtier than any car I have had with similar mileage.
Apparently the ample space under the front end of this Georgetown class a sweeps up more road grime than the passenger vehicles. Half to go to a 10m mile frequency..

Not an engine problem as crankcase recirculation occurs down stream of filter.

If the m stands for Million, I would say it's about time for a new filter :D

I think he meant to say .025m miles which would be 25,000 miles?

  • Cost is under $20.00 so it gets changed with the oil every October. We live in an area where we only put on 5000 miles per year on average so once per year works good for the engine maintenence cycle
  • Once a year. In the spring when I'm doing my spring oil/filer/lube job.
  • Don't forget you have a fire breathing 6.8L engine.
Consumes more air than your passenger car.
