I bought my 97 Bounder new. When it was a year old, I replaced the exhaust manifolds with Banks system. I think it helps cut down on the noise.
I really enjoyed the large windshield, much more to see than a class C we had before. I never got a sunburn from it. I guess I just did not drive that much in one day. I did install a electric visor over the drivers seat, and a pull down shade on the driver's window. I guess that helps with the sun factor. The Bounder and Pace Arrow where built on the same platform, sometimes sharing the same layouts as well. Pace Arrow was one step up from the Bounder, with standard things like Jacks that I paid extra for, and rear camera, that I did not buy.
I am very happy with the power from the 460" engine. You might have a plugged fuel filter that prevents full power, yet it will still run OK. Also check the air filter. I had to replace the Oxygen sensor, it is the same one as used on the 96 F-350 dually 460" engine. I also replaced the rotor and plug wires, but at 42,000 miles, I have not changed out the spark plugs, the RV passed the emissions testing, and I left it at that.
You might try washing the radiator and condenser with a pressure sprayer (chemical sprayer) using a mixture of simple green and about 50% water. Let it soak, then rinse with a garden hose. This will allow better heat transfer at a lower temperature, so the fan might not come on as often.
