Falcon 170

Are you talking about the 60's Ford Falcon with the 170ci six? Great little cars.:B Just kidding of course.

Yep. We had a 1984 Horizon 170. If it is 17 feet it is a Horizon, if 19 feet it is a Falcon. They were made by Intervec from the early 80s until the mid 90s. After that, some of the Intervec folks formed Phoenix Cruiser. We have a 2013 Phoenix Cruiser now.

We had a blast with our Horizon. It was on a Dodge. They made them on Chevy, Ford and Dodge vans over the years. We bought ours new and kept it until the early 90s as I recall. Our model had the gaucho arrangement with the sofa that flipped out for the bed. We used the overhead bed for storage. There were all sorts of different floor plan arrangments in them over the years. The bugged eyed windows in the overhead bumpout were distinctive.

The 190 was very similar in appearance, just a tad bit bigger. Some models had a Microlite 2800 genset. They are the only true Class B I know of that actually has a tub-shower combo bath. Maybe others, but I don't know of them.

Remember a few years ago when they were paying up under a government program after the collapse of 2008 for old "junkers" to encourage the survival of the car industry? Well, I saw a not so rough Falcon on the car lot at the local Honda dealer. I went in and asked what they wanted for it but it had been acquired under the program and could not be resold at any price. I thought it would have been cool to buy one and restore it.

A number of Bs had that tub combo. I had a 1990 coachmen, a 1988 horizon, 2 different class cs, and now a okanagan b, and I know the airstreams had them also. Probably some I haven't seen.
