Called Fantastic Vent and they sent me some stuff (silicon or similar wipes) to clean the gasket with. No problem since, even after lengthy periods of non use.
Call them. They have very good customer service.

It's the fan itself thats not working. I'll follow what's been stated here and also call them, as well.
