Hello everyone,I have two Fantastic fans on my coach and want to get vent covers for them. There are many brands and would like to know if you would recommend the vent covers made by Fantastic vent. They seem to be specifically made for the Fantastic fans and would think they would work better than another brand.Your opinions are appreciated.Stuart

Check Camco Vent covers, they seem to have better UV stabilizers in their products so they last longer.

We bought new Fantastic fans and vent covers for a rebuild we are doing on a 99 Damon. Look fine, although they are a little larger. The thing I did not know and did not like about them is that the area the air enters or leaves through the cover has 1/2" holes that are not covered with screen. We went to a glass company and bought stainless steel screen and glued it on to fix the problem.

I put the fantastic fan in our coach and used a regular cover, first the top wouldn't open very far which restricted the air flow, bought the fantastic cover and what a difference it made. Go with fantastic cover.

I have the fantastic vent cover. Works good and they used to be one of the better companies to do business with. Not sure now, I heard they are under different ownership.

Both of my coaches, both past and current, have had Fantastic Fans w/ Fantastic Covers installed. Worked well and never had any problem.

We went with the Fantastic covers because they were designed to allow the FF to open fully. We are happy with the flow.

I beg to differ with that video, I just yesterday installed another and the original vent had a zillion screws the fantastic had half as many and the holes do not line up. Use the original screws which are self drilling, add a little pressure no problems just goop up all the screw holes with dicor self leveling then run a hefty bead all the way around on the roof, set the fan in and screw it down then add more dicor to all the screws and around the edge all the way. Don't forget to attach your brackets for the vent cover as you screw the fan in place it uses the same screws.

S-N-L........ The video you watched is correct. If you are using a Fantastic Vent and the Fantastic vent cover, they do use the same holes or at least mine did..

Be careful adding screen to the cover, put the cover on first and see how much air moves then add your screen and see how it cuts the flow down considerably. That is why it doesn't come with a screen attached.

If its the same video I looked at, the fantastic vent cover also allows more air to flow. I have 3 on my coach and am real happy with them.

Great point. I think I will go with the Fantastic brand cover and somehow attache screen to the cover. I like the idea of having the fan cover being able to open more than with other brands. I go to Camping World's website and they have a video that demonstrates how the fantastic cover allows to fan to open up more.
