Fantastic Vent Cover

I finally got around to installing an Ultra Breeze cover over the Fantastic Fan in the galley. Very easy installation. It's only been 7 years that I got around to doing this.

Then I was going to put one over the fan vent (traditional hand crank) in the bathroom but I realized the opening of the vent cover would be about 4 inches from the drain-stack pipe. We wouldn't be keeping the fan on in the bathroom for long periods of time because it is so loud, but if we had a vent cover it could stay open and still provide ventilation. Without the fan blowing outward, the gases from the drain-stack pipe might be sucked back into the RV. What do you think?

  • I just put one on our Fantastic fan vent. really looking forward to being able to both use it open a bit going down the road AND to not have it go closed early in the morning when the dew collects on the sensor. The main reason I bought it.
Our tank vent is nearby but we only use the fan to pull out air.

    Mine as well

  • I've been thinking of doing the same thing. My RV has covers on the kitchen and bedroom vents, but not the bathroom. During storage etc I always leave the covered vents open for air circulation. It would be nice to put a cover on the bathroom, I just wonder why most people don't do this? My sewer vent is about a foot away from the bathroom vent/fan.
  • The only time I notice ours is SOMETIMES right when we stop and the tank hasn't been dumped in a while and is mixed all up from driving. Not too often though.
  • Ours doesn't but have a little more space to pipe. Not an issue when going down the road. Only take a few inches and it vents well.
