Fast Ding Ding Ding Alarm on Ford Chassis

Have a 2016 Tiffin Allegro Open Road on the Ford chassis. Yesterday while pulling grade on I10 in Arizona there was an alarm that sounded with a Ding Ding Ding at a rapid rate of about 1/2 second each. This happened on 3 different occasions. Checked all Gauges . . . normal, No warning lights on dash. Was thinking maybe an overheat condition. It was only 50 outside. Was pulling grade at about 3k rpm. Any thoughts???

  • What did you do to clear the alarm?

Install a SCANGAUGE to monitor the engine and transmission. It will show you 4 engine parameters that could help diagnose the problem.
  • I read that but gauge showed normal. Gonna put my diagnostic reader on it to see if anything shows andhave a call into Ford RV chassis customer service with case # and waiting for tech to call back today. Ill post what I find out.
  • According to the Ford manual, it may be the audible warning for over temp of the coolant.
There are THREE stages of warnings:
    1) when the temperature gauge moves near HOT there is a single chime
    2) multiple chimes and the engine moves to limited power to cool the engine
    3) multiple chimes and the engine will shut down when the engine gets too hot.
Look at page 17(20 of 160). Ford manual
  • Sensor e brake on while in gear beep? Try putting on parking brake while in gear to duplicate

checking the fluid in your jack system? If low it may slosh around and show low... Beep?

Jacks not up all the way? Dropping due to leak? Door ajar baggage?

Is it the same ding-ding-ding that sounds to tell you the jacks are down?

Mine has given me a false alarm a couple of times.
  • Dumb question, did you leave your turn signal on?

My 2018 Newmar Bay Star does the noise sometimes, and all I can figure is that it's because the signal is on longer than some set interval. When I disengage the turn signal it stops making the noise.
