People, people. Several well sounding people have expressed some good ideas. I'll back off the silicon for the roof. Although I used it to maintain alot of the exterior on my previous bought new 99 Lance 1120 that I just sold. Not putting a bolt back in there leaves a major weak points in your roof structure. And if you do have the larger hole, alumn plate bolted into those holes will give you the strongest repair. What does it matter what it looks like up there. Strong repair is the most important consideration in humble, no account opinion.
