Final decision - Forest River Forester-2251LE

The 2250LE is built to a price point. Over time, they have added some things to it. A genset is included, but not a transfer switch. A ladder might not be included, it was not at one time. I forget the other things, but there are several. If you go to the Forest River forums website, there is a thread in the Sunseeker folder about this subject.

If you compare the floor plan of the 2250 to the 2300 (no slide), you'll notice they have virtually the same space. But the 2300 has all the features, plus more exterior storage.

Does this Sunseeker 2250 LE have everything? I mean generator is included?

The only new C's I've seen lately for around $50,000 (granted I'm not really looking very hard) are 23-24er's with no slides.

Coachman is a Forest River company. Sunseeker and Forester are better (and a little higher price) than a Coachman. Not to say there is anything wrong with Coachman.

No, you are on the right track! The number of new 28+ footers under $50K will be mighty rare! Opinions vary on quality, but personally I do agree with you that the Forest River products are better than Coachmen. And aside from quality, you typically get a little more bang for the buck when you compare features in an apples to apples comparison..

Nonetheless, that particular dealership overprices their units, in comparison with other nearby dealerships. I have been checking their prices over a ten year period.

Thanks all for the replies. Please correct me if I am wrong . I am new to RVing and I have been looking for almost 2 months. The only 28+ feet I found for under $50K is the Coachmen Freelander 28QB . The quality of this model appears to be lower than the quality of Forest River products.
