- down_homeExplorer IIWhere we store they park them and turn off propane and everything necessary. Site is monitored all the time.
If one unit caused all of them to burn, I don't know.
Since they have custody Garage Keepers provisions should cover them. imo.
Doubt anyone gets what they are worth, if it defaults to Coach Owners Ins. Hardly see one with a mortgage on one owing less than it is worth, by the NADA book or Insurance value. - 2bzy2cExplorer II

Let's hope that the insurance gets the owners back to where they were before the fire. I am assuming that the property owner has some type of insurance so I expect a fight between what the RV owner's insurance company will pay and what is paid by the property owner's insurance. With any luck they will come to a quick agreement and move forward instead of a long fight in court.
You assumed wrong. The insurance carried by these storage operators only insures the buildings. Generally, the rental contract states very clearly "they do not insure the contents". Most any contract I have ever seen has that. It is a sad event, and everyone is going to lose. - 2bzy2cExplorer IILooks like no fire sprinklers. That would have helped quite a bit.
This has always been my concern with these warehouse type storage popping up in So Cal. They cram hundreds of RV's shoulder to shoulder in a huge warehouse. If one of those RV's go up, they all go up. It is a disaster waiting to happen. - BIKERK9ExplorerIt was at PALM HARBOR, FL — Fire burned boats, cars and RVs stored at Florida West Covered Storage in Palm Harbor. Those that did not burn most likey have both water, heat, and smoke damage.

- kiwi_osExplorerHad a similar event back here in NZ with several destroyed in a fire at an outfitters.
General insurance cover back here is with Covey Insurance and apparently no issues on them paying out for the total loss.
