Fireplace Pros and Cons

i'd never be without a fireplace again.

it is great for romance and those cool nights. and, it is the campground's electricity.

Agree with many others. Thought they were a joke until visiting friends with one in Yuma, AZ. when we ordered our 36 Ft Class A we mandated it with the fireplace.

Coming in off the beach on a cool evening and sitting in front of the fireplace, warning my toes with a cup of hot chocolate and watching a movie is very nice. Provides heat and ambiance.

If I had more space, maybe a 45' quad slide a FP would be nice. With the limited space we have now we just use the little 1500 watt heater.

Very well said Ronny! I'm not interested in watching flames inside my coach! I'd rather sit out in front of my coach with a sweater and watch the Lake!

Pros: Looks good.

Cons: Can't move it, takes up valuable storage space, puts out same heat as any portable heater (1,500 watts), costs a lot more, difficult to repair, and adds weight.

We use an electric heater, a Dyson, for the last two years as our only/primary source of heat. Course we are picky about where we set the jacks down to enjoy that option. An elec fireplace would be a nice addition to our living quarters and still have a cube if needed for heating other areas. Probably not at the same time for many.

As long as you do not need the space and enjoy watching the flames, why not?

We love ours,now would not have a RV without one.. Great for taking the chill off in the morning with the coffee. And we like using it without the heat.

I love mine. At temps above 40 degrees I do not need any other heat. Also it does not take up any floor space.
