Fireston 561 or Hankook?

Diesel pusher. Have Hankook 275/70R22.5 on there now, and 7 years old from manufacture.
Same price for the saem H weight Hankook or J rated Firestone 561's.

Hankooks have been fine. Ride a little hard. I don't imagine going to a J is going to improve the ride.
Any thoughts based upon experience?

Oh the Michilines are much more expensive of course, and not on the list.
  • I have the Firestone tires and have been fighting the coach wandering. I can't say for sure it is the tires but it could be. I bought the coach used almost 2 years ago and it had Michelin tires on it but they were aged out so I only drove it to the tire shop when I bought it I am not sure how it handled before with the Michelins.

I have had the front end aligned and added a steer safe but haven't been on more than a test ride since doing these things. My coach is also a diesel pusher.

  • I have to say these tires have been way better using the inflation chart, and really reducing my tire pressure. I think I have 70 in the fronts by memory.
  • If it's only between those two, and you've had such good service out of the Hankooks, I think you've answered your own question. :C
