It's one of those things you must deal with when RVing or camping. Some CGs prohibit outside wood, some allow it if you bought locally. I've seen a 5-bucks-an-armful stand on the road to most campgrounds.
What makes no sense is the confiscation of foreign wood. Most likely they will take the wood and burn it, which is exactly what I'm going to do anyway.
