Considering you'd be looking at just over 3,100 miles on at the end of the trip, I'd just drive it and get it done when you get back.
Things aren't the same as they used to be. On most passenger cars today there is no longer a recommend change interval, they use an oil life monitor. Both my wife's Explorer and my F150 it's usually around 10,000 miles between changes. My Super Duty is around 7,500 miles - which makes sense as it works a lot harder.
