If you have service... I'm familiar with the area you're heading to, you should have good service..likely excellent.
If you like fishing or want a side trip you might want to take a excursion on the feather river highway heading east from Lake Oroville. IMO one heck of a nice drive, I hear the fishing on the feather river is very good as well. There's also rockhounding for serpentine along the way as well, if you need locations for that PM I can send waypoints.
